Gary Evans asked: Often when people give up smoking cannabis, a massive hole (or void) is made within themselves. They are left with a feeling of depression and emptiness. It's like something is missing. Something you love has now disappeared and you feel sadness because you want that feeling back. Truth is you don't actually want marijuana back, but you do want the FEELING that marijuana gave you back. I hear it often that many users are saying they find it difficult to cope with this change their body is going through. My advise for this problem is always the same ... Learn something new. You see, you feel like your missing out on something. Something has gone, its vanished off the face of the earth and you want it back. Well instead of going around in a hopeless loop and .... Giving up then smoking a few days later, Giving up then smoking a few days later, Giving up then smoking a few days later, ... etc Try and fill The Void! As an ex-user myself I know exactly what it is like and today I am going to share with you the exact thing that I used to fill my void with. There's two things actually. 1. Golf. I absolutely love playing Golf and because I used to smoke cannabis I never played as much as I liked to. So when I gave up smoking cannabis I went and played Golf several times per week. I got two great benefits from playing Golf. Firstly, I was outdoors taking some well needed exercise which also helped me to sleep at night, and secondly it was filling The Void. 2. Think and Grow Rich. This is a phenomenal book that gave me added passion to give up smoking but also to better myself in all areas of life. By learning and reading, it gave me purpose to my life and introduced me to a world that I never knew. The author Napoleon Hill was a wonderful sharing person and he shared this brilliant book with us back in the 1930's. It's power and potential is simply mind blowing. Fill your own Void, make sure it is something you love doing. Make sure it is something you are passionate about and stick to it no matter what. Grow Weed Forum

This is a very tough subject for me. In 1998 dr john fernandez murdered my eleven year old daughter with a forced on her drug overdose. That same terrible year the doctor who falsely told Me I was 50-50 dead from metastatic cancer called MEN II. And then gave me a forbidden drug overdose that caused hellish misery, and that's the kind way of wording the mess... all all ALL because doctors administer drugs like they came from the corporate version of god. Well, I think they are more the opposit of god. God doesn't sell us out for money and these bastards are the vertitable mouth of the furnace of molach. But, guess what? Just maybe there is some light shining and it exposes the enemies of our pot, too. Strap this one on: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 18 Apr 2009 10:48:52 -0400 Subject: Fwd: Harvard Med Students Rebel Against Pharma From: freund.gm@gmail.com Harvard Medical Students Rebel Against Big Pharma Ties Two hundred Harvard Medical School students are confronting the school’s administration, demanding an end to pharmaceutical industry influence in the classroom. The students worry that pharmaceutical industry scandals in recent years, including criminal convictions, billions of dollars in fines, proof of bias in research and publishing and false marketing claims, have cast a bad light on the medical profession. The students have criticized Harvard as being less vigilant than other leading medical schools in monitoring potential financial conflicts by faculty members. Harvard received the lowest possible grade, an “F,” from the American Medical Student Association, a national group that rates how well medical schools monitor and control drug industry money. The students were joined by Dr. Marcia Angell, a faculty member and former editor in chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, who has vigorously advocated for an end to liaisons between academia and Big Pharma. Sources: Alliance for Human Research Protection March 3, 2009 Dr. Mercola's Comments: Medical schools’ image as unbiased sources of education is increasingly being tarnished as the truth comes out about their heavy ties to the drug industry. Even Harvard Medical School, one of the most prestigious in the United States, recently earned an F for its policies regarding accepting money and gifts from drug companies. The grade came from the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), which ranked 150 medical schools according to their ties to industry. The more money and other incentives a school was receiving from the pharmaceutical industry, the worse grade they got. Harvard earned the lowest grade possible, so kudos to these medical students who decided to confront the school’s administration for some much-needed change. According to AMSA: • Out of Harvard's 8,900 professors and lecturers, 1,600 admit that they or a family member have ties to drug companies that could bias their teaching or research. • The pharmaceutical industry contributed more than $11.5 million to Harvard in 2008 for “research and continuing education classes.” The issue has only gotten more heated since the New York Times ran this article, featuring the story of Matt Zerden, then a first-year Harvard medical student, who became suspicious after one of his professors promoted the benefits of cholesterol drugs, and even went so far as to belittle a student who asked about side effects. Turns out the professor was not only a member of Harvard’s medical faculty, but also was a paid consultant to 10 drug companies, including five makers of cholesterol treatments. “I felt really violated,” Mr. Zerden, now a fourth-year student, said in the New York Times. “Here we have 160 open minds trying to learn the basics in a protected space, and the information he was giving wasn’t as pure as I think it should be.” And that really sums up the issue in a nutshell. How can medical professors teach unbiased, truthful information to their students when they’re being essentially paid off by drug companies? Well, they really can’t, and that’s the problem. Impressionable medical students are being indoctrinated into the drug-based model of disease care as we speak. It goes on all the time, and I can vouch for this personally as I, too, was brainwashed in medical school to favor the drug paradigm. In the mid '80s, I was actually a paid speaker for the drug companies. They would fly me to various physician education events around the country and pay me a very generous stipend to lecture to these groups. That was more than two decades ago, before I was able to remove myself from their very powerful brainwashing techniques -- and I was finally able to understand the truth of what they were doing. A Long History of Corruption In the 19th century, most Americans thrived on more natural approaches like homeopathic medicine. Then, in 1847, along came the American Medical Association (AMA). Most people didn’t trust this new conglomeration, so to gain the power, money and control they were after, they kept all homeopathic physicians out of their “club,” and proceeded to call all related remedies “quackery.” If you didn’t want to pay to join the club (by advertising in their medical journal, JAMA), anything you recommended would also be criticized. From that point on, the AMA turned into a medical monopoly, taking control of medical schools and essentially medical students as well. To put it simply, when the AMA took control of the medical schools, they made it so that only those who graduated from one of them could practice medicine. And since they controlled the schools, guess what was largely taught? How to use prescription drugs. This intertwining of the drug industry and medical schools is still going strong today, with the end result being a medical model that relies heavily on drugs, surgery and hospital stays, instead of teaching true healing practices. What Happens When Industry Gets a Hold of Doctors? It’s old news that drug companies use aggressive sales tactics to influence doctors’ prescribing habits, but what may surprise you is how well these tactics work. A study a few years back found that drug companies were the greatest influence on doctors’ decisions of which drugs to prescribe. Further, about 70 percent of doctors regarded drug representatives as an efficient way to obtain new drug information! Of course, they start their pitches even before the doctors are practicing, while they’re still in medical school. Drug reps must target doctors, and doctors in training, because a physician is required for the consumer to purchase their product. Although in the United States they have also ramped up their direct-to-consumer ads on television and in magazines, their real “meat and potatoes” comes from their marketing directly to physicians. This is one of the primary reasons why drug companies spend $4 billion each year on direct-to-consumer ads in the United States, but 400% more, a massive $16 billion, to influence your doctor. That is $10,000 for every single doctor in the United States. Change is Underway Fortunately there is a generation of bright medical students entering the field, and many of them are taking steps to help clean up their medical education. Already, AMSA has succeeded in securing a requirement at Harvard that all professors and lecturers disclose their industry ties in class (one professor’s disclosure list had 47 company affiliations!). Amidst all of the bad press, Harvard’s dean also announced that a 19-member committee will be re-examining the school’s conflict-of-interest policies. The inundation of drug companies into the medical field as a whole did not happen overnight, and it won’t get solved that way either. But step by step, changes are being made in the right direction. If you are a student in medical school right now, or planning to enter soon, please become familiar with AMSA’s PharmFree campaign. Aside from being a great source of information, their site offers guides and kits to help you make positive changes, including major policy reforms, at your own school. Murderers go to hell, iowa, john fernandez, dave drake. You are so very guilty and these students are rebelling from your masters. but not you guys. this is the same sort of monsters who have been lying about our cannabis. that it could help anyone is totally expendable to scum like these "professionals". they don't care. have you read my Marijuana News post about dr V? he is the same sort of shit bag substituted for a human being lying about cannabis. what do we have to protect us with? whatever it is we have to get killed first and then a whole lot of times in order to get enough pressure to overcome this fantastic money power these drug corporations have amassed to whip us and train us and jail us to keep them cash cows rollin' How are they going to beat out of us what they got the cops to beat into us? Just maybe we can toss these users off the gravy train at least somewhat if we can force them out of the schools for the doctors. The same bunch of bandits calling themselves righteous are the ones who write that Physician's Desk Reference. I had to watch a doctor of psychiatry for the court publically declare there was no drug interaction between citmetidine and paxil to the court and let me tell you that shit fried me into prison. You may not always agree with me on stuff; but on the issue of them ever buying me off we can agree. It will never happen. They don't rent space in my head or cause me to fear their power. never again. Pax Vobis

He is sure as hell making the noises that come from the mouth of pot nazis. Check this evil drivel from him out:

Obama Declares War on American Drug Users......

Thu, 04/16/2009 - 10:51pm Speaking in Mexico today, President Obama embraced the exact hard-line drug war philosophy he rejected on the campaign trail:
Obama acknowledged that the United States shares responsibility for bloodshed and kidnappings in Mexico that have spilled across the border into the United States. Acknowledging that U.S. drug use fuels the cartels, Obama said, "I will not pretend this is Mexico's responsibility alone." "We have a responsibility as well, we have to do our part," Obama said. He said the U.S. must crack down on drug use and the flow of weapons into Mexico. [AP]
Specifically, he said, "We have to crack down on drug use in our cities and towns," Now, fellow grower/tokers, is it not fair that you and I should do our part in this heroic effort and surrender our freedom for him? Hell No it isn't. He is beginning to sound more and more like stash face puke geowbush, pot nazi before him. To do a crackdown we need assholes to put in prison to look good with. I know! Let's bust the pot heads some more! Fucking nazi! He has surrounded himself with pot nazis like that puke joe biden, you know, the nazi that coined the term "drug czar". And if you think obamamama stinks Now, wait till about July when the bear market bounce that has been amplified by all this federal wallpaper called printed money hits the public market and runs out of steam. We Americans are about to be smashed with a hellish wall of inflation the like of which we have never never never seen in our nation's history... if you even think you are pissed off at lying ass obama now. You are about to hate him like you never imagined. This is exactly what Doctor Ron Paul was talking about when he singlehandedly whipped all nine other republican candidates at the same time back in 2007.  And it is exactly on schedule for this summer in a life near you. omg!! I was foolishly thinking that obama was going to hand out our pot, at least a little bit, as his bribe for eating the death  of the dollar. but even that seems to be fucked. They can all Suck Me bush completely. bastards

A new product based on hemp. This is the future and it is in All our best interests, even the pot hater's because it is a greener world to their benefit, too.

But, there is a sad note here, too. geo bush's destructions to our scientific advancement still reverberate. Why wasn't this done in the USA? Pukes like him are why.

Once more we receive benefits from science done outside the USA because we had a "decider"/moron asshole who jambed our excellent scientific community. I don't wonder why so many have such a terrible, negative opinion of my nation. We are overdue to cut out the pig act.

It is a constant effort for all nations, but the classic "To whom much is given, much is expected, is very relevant here. If we want to stay a world leader we need to recognize that these truths are part of the necessary burden our nation has to assume. We need to get on with legalizing our cannabis for so very many reasons!

Now, we have a new prez and we are all hoping he will shake this stagnated mess up and get us moving. Dear God, I sure hope he can.

How 'bout some nice news from the Brits?

Hemp could be key to zero-carbon houses

Hemp could be used to build carbon-neutral homes of the future to help combat climate change and boost the rural economy, say researchers at the University of Bath.

A consortium, led by the BRE Centre for Innovative Construction Materials based at the University, has embarked on a unique housing project to develop the use of hemp-lime construction materials in the UK.

Hemp-lime is a lightweight composite building material made of fibres from the fast growing plant, bound together using a lime-based adhesive. The hemp plant stores carbon during its growth and this, combined with the low carbon footprint of lime and its very efficient insulating properties, gives the material a ‘better than zero carbon’ footprint.

Professor Pete Walker, Director of the BRE Centre for Innovative Construction Materials, explained: “We will be looking at the feasibility of using hemp-lime in place of traditional materials, so that they can be used widely in the building industry.

“We will be measuring the properties of lime-hemp materials, such as their strength and durability, as well as the energy efficiency of buildings made of these materials.

“Using renewable crops to make building materials makes real sense - it only takes an area the size of a rugby pitch four months to grow enough hemp to build a typical three bedroom house.

“Growing crops such as hemp can also provide economic and social benefits to rural economies through new agricultural markets for farmers and associated industries.”

The three year project, worth almost £750,000, will collect vital scientific and engineering data about this new material so that it can be more widely used in the UK for building homes.

The project brings together a team of nine partners, comprising BRE Ltd, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studio architects, Hanson Cement, Hemcore, Lhoist UK, Lime Technology, National Non-Food Crops Centre, University of Bath and Wates Living Space.

As part of the project the University of Bath received a research grant of £391,000 from the Renewable Materials LINK programme run by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

I used to be a union cement mason, hard work I promise! I would have totally loved to work such a product! Then I could have driven by some big building I helped put up and told my kids, "This is the building Hemp and I made!" lol

It's the thin edge of the wedge-ie, right up the drug warrior butt crack, that is. Gotta love it! Can ya feel it, grassley? harkin? when one of you heros going to see the light and switch sides? I agree with Carl Olsen's stuff: it's gonna collapse like the Berlin Wall. I really like that guy! Mark my words: your humble narrator will smoke a joint with Carl Olsen on the steps of the Des Moines Polk County Court House together yet. Of course, there may be significant company. And yes, Carl, I would get a jet ticket to be there if needed. I sure would! Here is some interesting legal action from our friends in Cali.:

Media Advisory: Federal Position on Medical Marijuana Put Before Ninth Circuit Today

MEDIA ADVISORY Americans for Safe Access For Immediate Release: April 14, 2009 Contact: 510-251-1856 x307 Federal Position on Medical Marijuana Put Before Ninth Circuit Tuesday Federal hearing is latest battle on whether policy is based on science or politics San Francisco, CA -- Medical marijuana advocates will get to argue before the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday, April 14th, the right to challenge an outdated position held by the federal government: "marijuana has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States." The national advocacy group Americans for Safe Access (ASA) filed a lawsuit in February 2007 demanding that the federal government cease issuing misinformation and correct its statements on medical marijuana. "We welcome the Obama Administration's recently stated commitment to making policy decisions based on science, not politics," said Joe Elford, Chief Counsel with ASA. "This case is designed to ensure that the federal government's policy on medical marijuana is not politically motivated." What: Oral arguments in a case before the Ninth Circuit that challenges the government's position on medical marijuana When: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. Where: Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Courtroom 4 at 95 Seventh Street, San Francisco, CA In order to challenge the government's position, advocates are using a little-known law called the Data Quality Act (DQA). The DQA requires federal agencies such as Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to rely on sound science when disseminating information to the public. One of the main issues in the case is whether citizens have a right to challenge government information believed to be inaccurate or based on faulty, unreliable data. "The science to support medical marijuana is overwhelming," said ASA Executive Director Steph Sherer. "It's time for the federal government to acknowledge the efficacy of medical marijuana and stop holding science hostage to politics." On March 9, 2009, President Obama issued a memorandum to the heads of executive departments and agencies stating that, "The public must be able to trust the science and scientific process informing public policy decisions," and calling for "transparency in the preparation, identification, and use of scientific and technological information in policymaking." The original DQA petition was filed in October of 2004, aimed at forcing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) -- the FDA's parent agency -- to correct statements about the medical value of marijuana. After more than two years of delay by the federal government and a refusal to act on the petition, a lawsuit was filed in February of 2007. Despite a rejection by the federal district court in late 2007, Science Magazine published an editorial that year claiming that HHS had "violated its own DQA guidelines." Preeminent legal scholar Alan Morrison, who founded Public Citizen's Litigation Group and who currently teaches at American University's Washington College of Law, is co-counsel in the case and will be arguing before the court on behalf ASA and patients across the country. "Citizens have a right to expect the government to be transparent and to use the best available information for policy decisions," said Morrison. "Unfortunately, so far, the government has been anything but transparent and has failed to produce any evidence for its policy statements on medical marijuana." In April 2006, while ASA was awaiting a response to the petition from HHS, the FDA issued a statement claiming that it conducted an "inter-agency review" and had "concluded that no sound scientific studies supported medical use of marijuana..." However, none of the alleged scientific evidence used to reach that conclusion was ever provided to ASA or the public. And, here's one more for the new year: CA City Charged with Contempt for Refusing to Uphold Medical Marijuana Law Montebello fails to return medicine despite obligation by landmark court decision Los Angeles, CA -- Medical marijuana advocacy organization Americans for Safe Access (ASA) filed legal briefs today accusing the City of Montebello of contempt of court. A request for the Los Angeles Superior Court to issue contempt proceedings was filed in response to the refusal by the City of Montebello to return medical marijuana and other property wrongfully seized by its local police department. On October 15, 2004, local police seized marijuana plants, growing equipment, and personal correspondence from the Montebello home of Terry Walker. Police criminally charged Walker, irrespective of his status as a medical marijuana patient. Walker's criminal case was soon after dismissed and a court order was subsequently issued for the return of his property. However, despite Walker's court order, the City of Montebello refused on several occasions to return any of his property. "Given recent case law requiring police and local officials to respect state law and return any wrongfully seized medical marijuana, the City of Montebello has a clear obligation to adhere," said Joe Elford, Chief Counsel with ASA, the organization representing Walker in his contempt claim. "This blatant contempt for the rule of law is unacceptable and cities like Montebello will be called out if such conduct continues." In November 2007, the California Fourth District Court of Appeal issued a 41-page decision rejecting the argument that the state's medical marijuana law is preempted by federal marijuana laws. The court of appeal ruled that "it is not the job of the local police to enforce the federal drug laws." The case City of Garden Grove v. Superior Court involved medical marijuana patient and Garden Grove resident Felix Kha who was charged after a routine traffic stop and 1/3 of an ounce of medical marijuana was seized. As a result of the appellate court decision, the City of Garden Grove, and all other localities in California, are now obligated to return wrongfully seized medical marijuana. In December of 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to review Garden Grove's appeal. "We are going to file contempt charges against cities and counties that run afoul of their obligation under the state's medical marijuana law," continued Elford. "The indiscretion of city's like Montebello will not be tolerated, especially more than twelve years after the passage of Proposition 215, California's Compassionate Use Act." The brief filed today points to the California Code of Civil Procedure, which makes punishable by contempt of court "disobedience of any lawful judgment, order, or process of the court."  In addition, the brief states "courts have the inherent power to punish acts that interfere with the orderly conduct of proceedings," such as those in Walker's case.
