Marijuana seeds are very easy to come by. For the most part, your success of germinating them will be very high. The biggest consideration in what type of cannabis to grow should be the price you will pay if (WHEN) busted. If you are going to ante up the $$$ for a grow room set up and put yourself in jeopardy of lots of jail time, you might as well grow excelsior pot rather than ditchweed. The DEA looks at quantity not quality.

Seed prices are high because of many factors. Genetics of a certain type of breed require knowledge and patience, but mostly, it's a sellers market and the end result with these beauties is well worth the initial investment. Remember, it's illegal to order these seeds through the mail in the U.S. so log onto the Web sites provided on this website and read their legal advice very carefully before taking the plunge.

Important things to consider when buying seeds are yield, size of the plant, thc level and how much growing room you will have.  If you are growing indoors I recommend looking into auto-flowering strains, these grow very short and are ideal for very small grows.  If you are growing for product, then you will want a high yielder like Big Bud.  If you are growing for personal use, then you'll want a nice medical strain with a high THC level. White Widow is an excellent choice for a first time grower; it is an excellent plant with a great THC level and a nice yield.

Â	Jack Herer The cream of the crops and perhaps the most exquisite ganja you will ever encounter; this strain ranks as the most awarded variety in the history of harvest festivals. Nine awards and counting would be the pinnacle of recognition for any strain, yet Jack Herer manages to go a step further and bears the distinction of being distributed under prescription by Dutch pharmacies as a recognised variety of medicinal-grade cannabis. Jack is fast-flowering and relatively compact with a dense, expansive, rounded bud structure that's suited to cash-cropping. Jack's Sativa phenotypes can also produce a good per-metre or per-plant yield when cultivated skilfully, though it is rare for these crops to be sold commercially. Carnival Carnival: there is no name that can better represent the effect of this plant in your mind. The word carnival reminds you of a happy atmosphere all around, to Venice and the thousands of people dressed like centuries ago, or to Rio, Brazil, where millions of people go crazy just for a few days a year. This strain has been designed to bring the carnival into your mind. The entire process of selection and crossing has been made in Spain. This is a cross between a Haze mother and a particular individual mostly sativa as father. Carnival has an extremely high content of thc:  the laboratory test on our sample has shown an amazing 23,2%. 	Little Devil Little Devil (formerly known as Pure Lowryder) is an autoflowering strain, developed for those who have little space, but great ambitions. This plant is unique in many ways, but the first thing that comes in mind is her ability to flower automatically: a male plant show the sex after about 2 1/2 weeks from the germination, a female plant takes generally 3-4 days more. The flowering is independent by the number of the hours of light received. The whole growing, from seedling to bud takes about 60 days. Given the extremely short vegetative phase, Little Devil will stay short and compact, the height is in general between 20 and 50 cm (typical final height 30-35 cm), depending by the dimension of the pot and the amount of light and fertilizers. The final result has a strong herbal taste, and a well balanced high. White Widow A huge favorite of all the growers interviewed. Years ago this strain was thought to be temperamental, however all the seeds ordered within the last 2 years had a very high germination rate and the strain was problem free. Newbies also said this was a very rewarding plant to grow for first timers. White Widow was the 1st place winner in the 8th Annual Cannabis Cup. This is a great choice for hydroponic growing as she is compact, medium height and smells sweet "skunky". The bud sites get totally fat and heavy with resin on the crystallized flowering heads. The dried weight in these buds is VERY impressive. They finish out in about 60-70 days. The resin is so profuse on the fat white heads that I had one stick to my ass and another onto the cat's head. Wear gloves to trim these beauties. 	The Northern Lights This is another excellent choice for indoor hydroponics. They are very strong, with a long lasting high. A good producer with exceptional resin output. This strain is identified by big buds and fewer leaves. Aurora Indica Smells a little like cut mangoes. The plant has fewer leaves, similar to Northern Light and develops out to be a lower, bushier plant with very large buds. This is the high for tokers with no life... A very long lasting, stony high. 	Big Bud An excellent producer for growers looking for a fast cash crop. For pure weight, this is one of the heaviest bud plants on the market now. The smell is sweet, grassy and natural. It's not as strong a skunk smell as most cannabis strains. This plant is almost a pure indica strain with a happy effect and it is available only in its female version. It's the biggest producer of our collection and it can reach this result without compromising quality. The structure of the plant is typical of indica, not very tall, and it performs well both in sea of green or as a bigger individual plant. It grows well outdoor in the right condition (temperate climate only) where its early flowering can be the winning point. This is also a great strain for Newbies to start off with as it finishes so quickly and the buds are totally fat and heavy. California Orange Bud This famous outdoor seed-strain from California was brought to Holland in the early Eighties and perfected for indoor and greenhouse growers. Orange Bud is a plant with plenty of power and amazing zest in both taste and performance. Her citrus aroma is sweet in the flowering stage and delicious when smoked. 	MASTER KUSH Has the strong Afghani earthy smell combined with skunk. This strain is a cross of Hindu Kush and Skunk #1. Yield is high. Excellent taste and strong high. Winner of cannabis cup 2005 and 2006. This is a strong plant for almost all climates. This is a very easy strain to grow with several dominant colas on each plant. This is also a great choice for cloning as the new growth bracts are very distinguished. This strain molds easily in areas with high humidity. PURPLE POWER Whew!! A very, very strong high with sativa overtones. This strain is only a fair producer indoors, but really kicks ass outside. She is a "Dutch Hope" and Skunk #1 cross. Purple Power finishes out in 60-70 days. She also happens to be quite mold resistant and very hearty. After a few weeks of flowering the buds turn purple and you can watch the whole circle happening to harvest time. Youll really enjoy the formation of the purpleish glow once it start happening. A very stable plant that even grows well even in Holland's cold weather conditions. Seedbanks

The problem with buying seeds online is that there are a lot of disreputable companies ready to suck up your bucks for nothing in return. After reviewing several seedbanks I found four that each had their strengths. Their service, diligence and very high product quality are why they are featured here.

Nirvana Shop and Ministry of Cannabis - Both of these shops are very professional and ship worldwide. Their prices are also simply unbeatable.  They have the best prices of any shops I was able to find on the internet. The only problem with these seed banks is their somewhat limited selection.

Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds - A trusted provider of quality seeds, they have an extensive selection of seeds at very reasonable prices.  If you cannot find the strain you are looking for at Nirvana Shop or Ministry of Cannabis, this is your next best bet.

Sensi Seeds - This seedbank is one of the originals, they are well known for having very rare strains. They are a bit pricier than most seedbanks, but you still get more than you pay for in terms of quality. They do not ship to the United States

Prices tend to fluctuate and availability is unpredictable so keep checking back until you find what you want.

The seeds are mailed from the Seed Banks in relatively anonymous packaging to wherever you want them sent. Put some deep thought into the big picture here as it does not take a Mensa member to figure out what is being sent in a small package from Amsterdam or Vancouver. It's all a numbers game and you may not be a winner!
